Amanu Itomi Jewelry begins with the basic concept of taking a simple flat piece of metal and crafting it into a piece of wearable art for approximately eight years. The designer, Amanu, served as a silversmith apprentice for four years under Henry Baba Osageyfo Colby, master silversmith and founder of the Timbuktu Art Colony. As an apprentice silversmith, he was able to learn the ancient art and intricate skills of crafting fine metals, stones, and gems into wearable art.
