In a city of big-name jewelry brands and dazzling shrines to bling, it’s natural to yearn for a more intimate, personal experience when selecting jewelry. That is what sisters Jennifer and Christina Gandia understood when they took over the family jewelry business more than a decade ago.
Started by their parents, Carl and Milly Gandia, in 1976 on Greenwich Street in lower Manhattan, Greenwich St. Jewelers had long offered exceptional service and an unusual level of onsite expertise. But the sisters’ dream of adding a broad range of services and a fashionable, curated selection of jewelry was visionary.
Today, Greenwich St. Jewelers presents a carefully chosen assortment of styles from sought-after and emerging designers, exquisite custom design work, and an extensive selection of engagement and wedding rings. All of this, in a boutique setting in downtown Manhattan. And, as always, it delivers the discerning eye of highly trained jewelry specialists behind the counter, skillful restoration and repair services, and an in-store master jeweler.
The result is a breadth of handpicked jewelry, from classic to contemporary to truly avant-garde.
Jennifer provides the creative vision and marketing direction for Greenwich St. Jewelers. With a suitcase always packed for the next adventure, she loves scouting for brilliant new designers. And it’s her passion for colored gemstones that leads her to the gorgeous specimens you see in our custom and special pieces.
Christina leads the strategy for Greenwich St. Jewelers and guides everything we do financially. She also oversees the staff and client services, ensuring you always work with a qualified, engaging jewelry specialist. And as a GIA-certified gemologist, Christina personally selects every one of the exquisite diamonds we use.
